На новосибирских трассах горнолыжных комплексов регулярно проводятся спортивные мероприятия: чемпионаты области; массовые старты среди любителей; детские соревнования.

Поскольку горнолыжные комплексы функционируют максимум полгода, для их круглогодичной загрузки на летнее время на территории комплексов предусмотрено возведение дополнительных объектов. Так, в «Юрманке» строятся пруд для ловли форели, полигон для скалолазания, гольф-клуб, разработаны маршруты сплава по реке Ине на байдарках и на надувных плотах, прокладываются пешеходные и конные туристские тропы, спуски на горных велосипедах. Даже в сноуборд-парке «Горский» в сентябре открыт водый спуск.
