Адрес: Новосибирская область, Новосибирск, на северной стороне площади Свердлова, в начале бульвара по Красному проспекту.

Бюст-монумент Александра Ивановича Покрышкина (1913–1985), сооруженный на его родине, является почетной наградой и выражением благодарности прославленному летчику-асу, трижды Герою Советского Союза.

Указ об установлении бюста подписан после награждения летчика второй Золотой звездой 24 августа 1943 года. Однако монумент открыт только 6 ноября 1949 года, когда А. Покрышкин был уже трижды Героем. Авторы бюста скульптор М. Манизер, архитектор И. Лангбард.

Первоначально бюст был установлен на Красном проспекте, у здания Облпотребсоюза. Но в связи со строительством метро и реконструкцией Красного проспекта перенесен на нынешнее место. Кстати, бюстов А. Покрышкина в России три. Один в Новосибирске и два в Москве (на Поклонной горе и на могиле А. Покрышкина на Новодевичьем кладбище).

А 8 мая 2005 года А. Покрышкину установлен памятник в Ленинском районе Новосибирска, перед зданием ДК «Сибсельмаш» на площади Карла Маркса.
