Население: 7,6 тыс. человек.

Достопримечательности Венгерова

Архитектура села представляет собой пеструю смесь дореволюционных построек и редких многоэтажек советского периода. Из деревянной архитектуры интересен, пожалуй, построенный в начале XX века жилой дом по улице Воровского, 121 и ансамбль церкви Святого Спаса.

Находится в центре села. Некогда это был один из самых красивых храмов в области.

Венгеровский краеведческий музей имени П. М. Пономаренко

Адрес: Новосибирская область, с. Венгерово, ул. Ленина, 77. Тел.: (38369) 216-66. Работает ежедневно, кроме субботы и воскресенья, с 10:00 до 18:00.

Находится в бывшем доме купца Д. С. Кочугова. Носит имя краеведа, основателя музея Петра Михайловича Пономаренко (1901–1984). Он начал заниматься краеведением с 1950 года. До самой смерти собирал материалы в разных городах Советского Союза, помогал археологам, работавшим на территории района, имел неограниченный доступ во все архивы страны. Путешествуя по району, отмечал интересные, с его точки зрения, места, насыпи, курганы, городища. Открыл несколько уникальных археологических памятников, в том числе «Сопку–2». В музее три зала: природы, археологии, истории досоветского и советского периода. Много подлинных бытовых вещей и орудий труда крестьян, уникальных исторических вещей (кованый ящик для церковной утвари, кандалы, цельно-резаный ковш). Много материалов посвящено Гражданской войне в Сибири. Три живописных полотна посвящены М. Т. Венгерову: «Создание партизанского отряда», «Утро перед казнью», «Расстрел».
