В Новосибирском парке за Новосибирсквнешторгбанком находится памятник археологии «Чёртово городище». Часть комплекса относится к VII–VIII веках до н. э., а основная масса материалов (в основном керамика) принадлежит чатским татарам и датируется XVI–XVII веками. По преданию, сюда в городок чатских татар бежал после Ирменской битвы 20 августа 1598 года хан Кучум. Здесь он провел несколько дней, после чего отправился на юг в Ногайскую степь.
