Была в числе основателей старейшего российского советского журнала «Сибирские огни», где работала секретарем. Ее произведения «Виринея», «Встреча», «Перегной», «Каин-кабак» отображали жизнь села послереволюционного времени. Имя Лидии Сейфуллиной вошло в сознание читателей как имя одного из создателей первых произведений советской реалистической прозы, проникнутых идеалами большевизма.
