Стоянка палеолита «Волчья грива»

Находится в 62 км к югу от Каргата, в верховьях реки Баган. На высокой Волчьей гриве, растянувшейся на 8 км у села Озерки, в 1957 г. обнаружена стоянка древнего человека, которую ученые сначала приняли за кладбище мамонтов. Летом 1969 г. ученые СО АН СССР под руководством академика А. П. Окладникова обнаружили, что это не естественное кладбище мамонтов, а уникальнейшее явление — стоянка людей древнекаменного века, которые никогда не имели дела с камнем, так как в бескрайней Барабе не было и нет выходов камня, пригодного для хозяйственного использования, а применяли вместо него кости. Памятник поражает обилием костей, при этом почти все они со следами человеческой деятельности.
